Sunshine Award

I have been nominated for the Sunshine Award by Anne from Little Pretty Mess! Thank you so much for thinking of me and my blog. :)

11 Random Facts About Me

• I'm an only child. Being an only child is nice because I get my parents all to myself (heh), but I know that when I have children I'll have at least 2 because I did always want a sibling and I want my children to not miss out on that.
• I can play the piano, but don't very often even though we have one in our house.
• I love over 20lbs on Weight Watchers but once I stopped the program, I gained it all back and more.
• I love photography and would love to take a class for it, but as of now, it's just a hobby.
• I've met a couple of my best friends from online in person (message boards, blogs, etc)
• I have my AA in Early Childhood Development
• I want to go back to school for my BS in Computer Information Systems
• I've been web/graphic designing for over 10 years
• My middle name is Ruth... named after my dad's birth mother
• I love cheese (any kind)
• I've been to Disneyland at least 30 times.

11 Questions I Was Asked
What is your favourite time of the day? My favorite time of day is right before it gets dark outside (dusk?). I love it because it's cooler but it's still a little light outside.

If you could go to any place on earth, what place would you choose? I would want to go to the Philippines. My family and I were supposed to go in 2006, but my mom got sick and we couldn't make it. I would love to meet all my family over there!

Favourite thing from your wardrobe? Ah! I guess it would be my Reef flip flops (total California girl?). But if I had to choose a piece of clothing, it would probably be my jeans. I love jeans.

What are you addicted to? Honestly, food. Changing my eating habits has been really hard but I know that I don't need most of the stuff I want and it's all in my mind so that's what I have to keep telling myself.

One thing you will never get bored of? Graphic design. I can make endless stuff and never get bored. I love Photoshop and coding... it takes a lot off my mind.

What is your dream vacation? My dream vacation would have to be going back to Hawaii and staying a lot longer to explore more things as an adult because when I went, I was only 13.

What makes you proud of yourself? Changing my eating habits and losing weight. I always would say I'm on a diet, but this time I've made changes that are making this a little bit easier. I'm not on a program like Weight Watchers, but eating foods I love, just less of it and stopped snacking!

You will never... I will never doing anything dealing with heights (sky diving, bungee jumping, etc). I have a fear of heights that is no joke. I can barely do roller coasters (like mini ones).

If your house was on fire, what’s the first thing you’d grab to save? My dog but if I had to choose something else, I would choose my photo albums of me growing up.

What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done? To me that would be when I finally met someone from an online dating website. We still talk, but I don't think anything will come from it but the fact that I actually did it, made me realize I can do it again and I will be fine. I'm very shy in person so it was a big step for me.

One thing you are grateful for? My parents but the relationship I have with my mom is one that I hope to have with my future children. I can say that my mom is my best friend.
