DIY Wall Organizer

So I recently cleaned out my office/craft room. I'm trying to become more organized. I bought some containers from Daiso for pretty cheap and organized my supplies. I do want to come up with some fun and cute ideas to brighten and color up the room.

So I went to Youtube. I searched and found this video by Anneorshine. It's a great tutorial and was pretty easy to do! I did not have fabric glue so I just used my hot glue gun but it turned out nice and definitely brings some color to the room.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions for ways to organize my office/craft room? Let me know! I'm always open to suggestions.

  1. That's so cute!

A DIY idea that I have: Take a beans can (fairly large) and clean it out, removing all of the wrapper off. Take Reader's Digest/one of those digest-sized cooking magazines and tear out the pages cleanly. Get your hot glue gun ready. In the meantime, you can work on rolling up your first few pages really tight (for one roll). Using your hot glue gun, glue the end of the roll's paper so that the glue it between the last layer (three dots: top, middle, bottom works!). Once it dries, glue it onto the can straightly.

It takes a while to complete (I think it took me around two or three hours...), but once you have rolls all around the can, you can glue cardboard onto the base to allow you the ability to put pencils/pens inside the rolls.

The end product is really cute and personal! I imagine newspapers would work in a similar way... The paper of newspapers might be less flimsy than magazines. If you have any AVON or meet mark. catalogs, or if you know someone who may have extras they want to get rid of, those work best! Two pages of those rolled up work really great.

And this was super long. And I think I'm gonna make one now and make a blog post. o.o Idk if I'm making sense...
