San Francisco

Yesterday we went to San Francisco and decided to do one of those hop on, hop off bus tours. It took us to 20 different places and we could get off wherever we wanted to. We got off on a couple of places but the actual bus tour itself was really fun and I learned a lot about San Francisco and got to see parts of San Francisco I've never seen. Even though I've lived in the Bay Area for almost 6 years, I still feel like a SoCal girl and haven't gotten to explore many areas up here. It's nice to play tourist for a while.

This was one of our first stops. The food here is always delicious although we didn't stop, I've been here before!

My best friend leaves today and I'm sad to see her go. I wish we didn't live so far away, but it was nice to see her and spend time with her these last few days. I think I'll be going down to SoCal in February so hopefully I will see her then.

Best Friend Time

My best friend came into town on Thursday, September 5. From there we went to Cache Creek Casino Resort and stayed one night. We played slot machines and lost but had a great time! We also went to the pool at night. It was beautiful. The next morning, we grabbed breakfast, played a little more and then we were headed to my house!

We came home and decided to check out the marina near my house. I had never been there so it was nice to see but there wasn't much to do. So I went on Yelp and found Subpar Mini Golf and we went and played a game. We came home, ate some dinner, grabbed some Cold Stone, watched a movie, and played some board games... all the things we used to do when we weren't so far from each other! I miss having best friend time and wish we weren't so far apart!

Today we are headed to San Francisco. I am taking my camera and will be ready to post about that tomorrow!

Wedding

So if you remember, my best friend got married back in April. I haven't had a chance to post about it so I figured I would now! Her wedding was on April 14 in southern California. I drove down with my mom and we stayed with my uncle for a few days and then went to the hotel where the wedding was. We stayed there for 2 nights. It was a beautiful hotel. This was the first wedding I was ever in and only my second wedding I've ever attended.

When we were in the room waiting to walk out for the wedding, the wedding coordinator told us that she was the most calm group she has ever seen. No one was stressing out, we were just having a good time. I couldn't help but cry when K walked down the aisle to Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole. I still tear up when I hear it because, not only is it a beautiful song, but it takes me back to the wedding day (mind you... I work at a daycare and we play this song quite often). They did a unity sand ceremony, which I had never seen before. Overall, it was a beautiful ceremony and reception.

Meet Up

Nic of Chevrons & Anchors and I have known each other online for a while now. We met up in person in 2008 and have been great friends ever since. Recently, we were able to meet up with Brandi from Cupcakes & Curves and Cinda. We had a great time!

Cinda came to my house and then we drove to pick up Nic and Birdie. Then we were off on the roadtrip to meet Brandi! Took about 2 and half hours or so. We ended up going to a mall near by and grabbing some lunch. Afterwards, we went to a park for Birdie to play and also took some awesome pictures.

We grabbed some slurpies, said goodbye to Brandi, and then we were headed back home. I am so glad we got to do this. It's also awesome that Cinda lives so close by so we can meet up some more. 

I'm a bad blogger

It's been a while since I've blogged. I honestly do not have much time to go on the computer because of work. Since I last posted I started working more hours at work (almost full time) and I do not get to go on the computer as much at home. I get on like once a week but I'm going to try and blog more since I can do it from my phone.

 Anyway beside the fact that I have been working more, I don't have much to blog about. I got a new camera and want to start taking photos for my blog to post about but I don't know what to post about. Have any ideas? Let me know! I also was sick of the layout I had so here is a new one for now!

I recently had a chance to meet up with some amazing people! I know Nic of Chevrons and Anchors but I got to meet Brandi from Cupcakes and Curves and Cinda as well. We had such a great time and can't wait to see them all again.
