Wednesday Weigh In #4

I have lost a total of 11.6lbs so I'm down 1.6lbs since my last post. I can say that weekends are hard for me because my parents and I tend to go out and do things and we are not home to cook a healthy meal but I get right back on track on Mondays. I think I need to work on weekends though!

The Biggest Loser premiered last night... who watched it?! I did and I love this show. I always used to watch it and hope I'd get motivation and last night when I was watching it, I started working out in my living room. I did lunges, crunches, jumping jacks, arm exercises, and more. This morning when I woke up, I was so sore (my legs felt like jell-o). That goes to show how out of shape I am. Today my boss and I did our walk as well. I think I need to make this a nightly thing (lunges, crunches, and jumping jacks, etc.).

So I bought a sampler of Shakeology to try from Angie and I'm excited to try it! Maybe I can update next Wednesday with how it tastes and works for me.

Don't forget to add your link!

Wednesday Weigh In #3

So I haven't lost any weight but I haven't gained any weight. I'm continuing my diet but I think I may have hit a plateau. I'm still working on it and think that I will continue to lose weight. I'm not discouraged because I'm still receiving comments from people saying they can notice I lost weight and that is definitely motivating. Hearing those kind of things make me want to continue to work at this and get down to a healthy weight.

Has anyone use Shakeology? I'm seriously thinking of ordering some but want some unbiased opinions from people who have used it that aren't selling it (coaches?). If you have used it, let me know what you think of it and if it worked for you!

Friday Weigh In?

I fail at posting on Wednesday for my weigh in but did want to check in with you all. I have officially lost 10lbs! I have done this in just under 2 weeks so I am very proud of myself. The best part about it is that people are noticing and commenting on how they can tell I've lost weight. I can't wait until I lose more and feel even better about myself.

Tomorrow I'm going to Capitola and going to a nice restaurant for my Grandmama's 85th birthday. Expect pictures and an update on Monday about it all!

The Sunday social will be posted tomorrow as well. Enjoy your weekend!

Wednesday Weigh In #2

I kind of had a binge weekend and didn't really follow my diet but to my surprise, I've lost 3lbs since my last post. I'm down a total of 7lbs so far!

I started walking more during my lunch break. My boss and I both walk so it motivates us to get out and do it. We've been having pretty nice weather here as well (minus the rain storm on Saturday). She is also trying to lose weight and I think we are doing well so far!

But I have 2 scales... one at work (where my co-workers and I are weighing in) and one at home. I can weigh myself the same day within an hour difference and there's a 5lb difference so I am not sure which to believe. Obviously I'd like to go with the one that says less, but the one that says more (the one at work) is the one I did my initial weigh in... so I've been using that. However, I did weigh myself a couple of weeks ago with the one at home and since that time to today using that scale, I've lost around 13lbs!

So I know I need to continue to work on myself and hope to really succeed on this weight loss journey!

Wednesday Weigh In #1

So since I officially started my diet on Monday, I've lost a total of 4lbs. I'm sure it is all water weight but it makes me feel like I'm doing something right.

So what have I been doing? Well I am eating less (not starving myself but eating healthy portions). That was one of my biggest things is that I love to go back for seconds, even thirds. So I serve myself and eat what's on my plate and don't go back for seconds, even if I feel like I could eat more because I know I need to give my food a chance to digest and settle.

Another big thing is that I love to snack and that may be an understatement. I can snack right after eating a huge meal, which is not right. So I still snack but I've swapped out chips for grapes and popcorn for edamame. I'm also watching my serving size and calories.

Lastly, I've started walking a bit more. I'm not big into exercising but I love to walk. So during my lunch break, I walked to Whole Foods, which is about a 20 minute walk. I had a dentist appointment and instead of taking the elevator, I took the stairs. Just simple things but it is better than nothing!

I'm hoping to post a Wednesday weigh in every week. I think it will keep me honest and motivated.
