I'm going to start little by little because if I go full force right away, I know that won't work for me. I'm going to start doing portion control and start walking every day. I also would like to eliminate soda (although I don't drink too much soda to begin with). I think I need to drink more water. I feel like if I make these changes, I should start to see a change within myself. I'm not expecting anything to happen over night because I 've been down this road before but I feel like if I do this without using a program, it will work for me.
Have any tips or anything for this journey? Let me know!
Now here is a picture of me now. The one on the left was a couple of weeks ago and the one on the right was back in April. I'm not going to say how much I weigh now but if I can get to my goal weight, I may post it.
Best of luck to you!! :D I am also heading on a weight-loss journey (I'm at the heaviest I have ever been *eek* and have decided that this is the heaviest I will ever be!!)

DeleteI started the Keto diet (low carb, high fat) in February and since then I've lost over 50lbs. I eat meat, cheese, salads, almonds, pistachios, strawberries, assorted green veggies in my normal meals. I don't count calories (namely because the same foods I eat I already calculated at one point), I only count carbs (I limit it to 20g carbs per day.)
ReplyDeleteI have hated diets in the past, always have, always will... But this was an excellent lifestyle change. I don't miss sweets and even if I did, y ou can find alternative recipes to making cookies. I get to eat all the meat and cheese I want and it doesn't count against my carbs. I eat less than I ever have since I get full faster, and.. I feel amazing!

ReplyDeleteHi Christina! Just started following you today and I do have a tip. I was part of a beta test for a book Dr Mark Hyman is coming out with soon. He has a bunch of books already including "the blood sugar solution". What I learned while doing the beta changed everything! Check out the blood sugar solution if you get a chance!

There is a book called 100 days of weight lost by Linda Spangle. It changed my life. I am more of an emotional eating and this book helped me recognize my triggers. I got mine as an e-book, its cheaper. Push by Charlene Johnson is another good one but it is for 30 days.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your journey. You can do it!!
